2017 ATIS PEG Presentation papers

  The annual ATIS Protection Engineers Group (PEG) Conference promotes discussion on how basic electrical protection principles are applied to today’s network, and the changes that are needed to meet the challenges of providing voice, data and video services in more decentralized networks.  Expert presentations cover such things as grounding, optical network terminations, PoE, grounding, G.fast, surge protection, new deployment technologies and electrical protection, standards updates, field experiences and more. The Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) is a special presentation by a leading protection engineering expert on issues that critically challenge the ICT industry in both an in-depth and fundamental manner. Past topics have included: over-current circuit protectors; a surge protection tutorial; fundamentals of bonding and grounding for communications sites; surge protection; and lightning physics, instrumentation and applications.
